Biggenden, Qld

The North Burnett town of Biggenden is located on the Isis Highway between Childers and Gayndah. The locals place it between paradise and utopia with Paradise Dam to the north and Utopia Road leading to the Rock Pools in the Mount Walsh National Park to the south. The backdrop to Biggenden is the rugged cliff face of Mount Walsh.

See & Do

Local attractions include Paradise Dam, Mount Walsh, Coalstoun Lakes National Park, Chowey Bridge and the Mines. Other facilities include a swimming pool, bowls club, golf club, and a local history museum.

Caravan Parks & Camping

There is one caravan park, the Mountain View Caravan Park, located next to the show grounds on the highway on the western side of town. Facilities include both powered & unpowered sites, ensuite cabins, two amenities blocks, a camp kitchen, BBQ area, laundry, a dump point (next door), and pets are welcome. This park was very welcoming, the modern amenities were very clean, and the camp kitchen was one the best and well equipped we have seen. We can thoroughly recommend Mountain View Caravan Park.

Nearby

Day trips from Biggenden could include the towns of Gayndah, Mundubberra, Maryborough and Childers.
